1) Beginning with this Mighty Mustang Wiki you will:

  • Add your own page using only your first name.
  • Write a short autobiography.
  • You may include a picture or if you dare a short video of yourself.
  • Please check all spelling as this will be seen world-wide.hi mfnkjsdbfjdks


2) Your next assignment is to read and respond to an article from Scholastic News

What you need to do:* Select an article from the widget on the right. Don't be afraid to browse a bit.
  • Read with a partner and discuss the following:
What is the article about?Who are the people or animals involved?When did it take place?Where did it happen?How did it happen?* Each of you will go to your Wiki page and write a paragraph telling what the article was about while answering to the who, what, when, where, and how questions.
  • You may also copy and upload a picture from your article
  • Create a link to the article
  • Write a final paragraph describing how the article made you feel, or how you connected to this article.
  • Don't forget to check spelling after you're finished.
  • Have fun!

3) Your final assignment will be to work with a team in creating classroom wikis for our busy teachers.

  • Set a time when you and your team can meet with your assigned teacher
  • Review the layout, and using a laptop, show your teacher some samples and provide ideas.
  • Using a word document, write down notes or all that the teacher expects in her wiki.
  • During computer time, sit near your team to begin creating your assigned teacher's wiki.
  • Each team member must complete at least one page
  • Each page will include descriptions, links and pictures.
  • For additional points, your pages can include videos, slideshows and/or widgets


Your final work will be presented before a panel for review and praise.

I will be available during computer lab as well as before and after school.
